Full-spectrum Marijuana has more potential benefits than just THC extracts as is found in many THC gummies.
A full-spectrum marijuana product contains numerous cannabinoids and other cannabis plant components such as essential oils, terpenes as well as the cannabinoid CBD. The amount of CBD in any full-spectrum marijuana gummy or any marijuana strain, for that matter, will vary greatly depending on the particular strain.
THC extract is THC without all the potentially good ingredients found in the flower of the cannabis plant, many of which have potential therapeutic benefits. THC will get people high but deprives the user of many potential beneficial ingredients present in marijuana. For instance, it seems that using a THC extract gummy instead of full spectrum marijuana edibles deprives the user of a lot of potentially very healthy ingredients.
Of course, if a person is using traditional dry herb marijuana they are going to get the various cannabinoids, terpenes, and such, in varying degrees depending on the strain. But, since more and more people are avoiding smoking or vaping marijuana flower, the issue of THC extract vs. full-spectrum needs to be better understood by consumers.
And, since they are probably paying the same amount for either product, then why not buy the product with the potential benefits?
Getting all the cannabinoids, terpenes and other ingredients provides the user with a so-called ‘entourage effect’ under the hypothesis that consuming all the ingredients in their natural state confers a number of potential healthy benefits, while just using a THC extract just gets people high with no additional potential benefits.
Seems like a no-brainer…buy the full spectrum!
