As we discussed in an earlier blog post about cannabigerol, CBG could become the next big thing regarding the potential health benefits from cannabinoids contained in hemp and marijuana. Accordingly, some businesses from growers to CBD makers and others are preparing to stake out a footing in this emerging niche.
One well-known maker of a popular CBD product, Bluebird Botanicals, announced the pending release of a CBG product indicating that they expected to be the first U.S. brand to release a CBG product. In fact, they indicted on March 26 2017 that they had in fact released their product and described the product as a 92% pure CBG extract made from hemp. They stated that this new CBG product will be released as part of the company’s new ‘Bluebird Endo’ line.
It appears that this product release is either delayed, on hold or abandoned. We don’t know the status but anxiously await further news from the company about this new product.
UPDATE: In the comment section of the Bluebird website from April 9 2018, the company representative indicates they are currently vetting new Colorado sources of CBG.
That seems to indicate the new CBG product should be forthcoming.
